Get to Know Emma (she/her)

I am passionate about providing support to young people who have body image concerns and eating disorders. I work with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with eating disorders, body image, anxiety and depression, as well as treated kids with ADHD, ODD, and other impulse-control concerns.   I believe in a strengths-based approach, while also keeping a trauma-informed lens with clients to provide a safe space to explore the mental health challenges they face.

I am excited to continue my specialization and training in evidence-based approaches to eating disorder treatment for children, teens and young adults at Eating and Behavioral Health Associates including Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for co-occurring issues.

I completed my undergraduate training in psychology at Miami University, where I received my Bachelor’s of Arts and my Master’s of Education in Educational Psychology.  I am currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at Ohio University working towards becoming a fully licensed therapist in the future.

I have received specialized training in the assessment of eating disorders at Ohio University and will be supervised by EBHA experts, Dr. Sarah Altman and Chelsea Tobias, LISW-S. I have had the opportunity through my education to gain experience in a multitude of areas including meeting the needs of individuals with a history of trauma, and very diverse clients. I am dedicated to growing as a clinician and believe that training at EBHA will great further my growth in the field.
