I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from aspects of cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and mindfulness-based work. My approach to treatment is based on a collaborate and open therapeutic relationship with clients and their loved ones to best support and promote their health and well-being.
I have a special interest in working with people of color, particularly those with marginalized intersecting identities, and strive to understand the impact that systems of oppression have on the mental health and functioning of disenfranchised people. Whether you are beginning your healing journey or seeking support after years of struggle, I am here to walk alongside you – with empathy, expertise, and hope.
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC and my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Ohio State University. I completed my clinical training with an APA-accredited internship at the Springfield Hospital Center in Jessup, MD. I have had various experiences in residential and outpatient settings for the treatment of eating disorders.
Prior to joining Eating and Behavioral Health Associates, I had an independent, private practice in Ann Arbor, MI where I worked with clients with various presenting challenges, including eating disorders, PTSD, and anxiety and mood disorders. I have had experience providing Family Based Treatment (FBT) for adolescents with anorexia nervosa and Enhanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT-E) for college students and adults with a variety of eating disorders. My experience working across a variety of multicultural settings has led me to practice from a culturally-informed lens.
