Compassionate, Family-Focused Care for Children and Adolescents

Eating disorder therapy for children & teens in Cincinnati

We understand that early intervention and family involvement are key to helping children and teens recover from eating disorders. Our Blue Ash clinic provides compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to the needs of young people and their families throughout Greater Cincinnati.

We are proud to help families access care close to home and provide flexible options for both in-person and virtual sessions.

Our Approach

Family-centered, evidence-based treatment

Our clinicians use research-supported treatments that empower families to play an active role in recovery. We help children and teens restore health, rebuild confidence, and re-engage in life through proven methods such as:

  • Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for children and adolescents
  • CBT-E (Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) adapted for teens
  • Parental coaching and guidance for continued support at home
  • Collaboration with pediatricians and dietitians for whole-person care

Our goal is to help young people heal their relationships with food and body image, while supporting parents in feeling informed and confident throughout the process.

Support for students across local school districts

Whether your child is in elementary, middle, or high school, our clinicians understand the academic and social pressures students face and tailor care to meet each family’s needs. We proudly serve families throughout the Cincinnati and Blue Ash area, including those in:

GETTING STARTED: SCREENING & INITIAL ASSESSMENT

The first step in becoming a patient at EBHA is completing our brief screening questionnaire and scheduling an Initial Assessment & Consultation. Please answer the screening questions as thoughtfully and accurately as possible—your responses help us:

  • Determine the best clinical fit for your child or teen
  • Identify any medical or safety concerns that may require a higher level of care or urgent medical attention
  • Match your family with the clinician whose expertise and style best fit your child’s needs

Your first session is a consultation and diagnostic assessment (not a guarantee of ongoing treatment).

  • For eating/body image concerns: ~90–120 minutes
  • For non-eating concerns: ~60–90 minutes
  • A parent or caregiver must participate in this session.

After the consultation, we’ll collaborate on a personalized plan — which may include ongoing therapy at EBHA, coordination with other providers, or a referral to a higher level of care if indicated.

Complete the screening form below to begin. We’ll review it promptly and follow up with next steps.
