I believe the most meaningful change comes about through therapeutic relationships which are built on respect, empathy, and empowerment. I work with children, adolescents, families, and young adults who are experiencing challenges with disordered eating, weight, and body image. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and includes clarifying values, promoting healthful behaviors, developing coping skills, strengthening family relationships, and addressing concerns related to mood and emotional well-being.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from aspects of cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and mindfulness-based work. My approach to treatment is based on a collaborate and open therapeutic relationship with clients and their loved ones to best support and promote their health and well-being.

As an early-career psychologist, I know how crucial it is to utilize evidence-based practice, especially when working with disordered eating concerns. In addition to generalist training, I am specifically trained in eating disorder specific modalities, including Family Based Treatment (FBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E). The first line of treatment for eating disorders is Family Based Therapy (FBT), which utilizes the whole family system in the child’s recovery.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in fine arts from York College of Pennsylvania while competing as a Division III field hockey student-athlete. I then earned my doctorate in School Psychology from Rutgers University. As part of my doctoral training, I completed a clinical placement at Auburn University, with a
special focus in working with young adults with eating disorders. To round out my training, I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where I provided care for children and adolescents with eating disorders, diabetes, and higher weights.

Before joining Eating and Behavioral Health Associates, I trained in schools, community mental health, pediatric hospitals, and a college counseling center. In addition to strong foundational training, I have specialized experience in treatment for eating disorders, diabetes adherence, and weight management. I deeply value interdisciplinary collaboration and embrace opportunities to work with physicians, dietitians, educators, and other professionals to provide holistic treatment.
